Zach Hymanson - Executive Director
Zach Hymanson joined the Tahoe Science Consortium in March 2006 as the Consortium’s first executive director. Over the last 20 years Zach has held a number of technical and management positions in California State government. Much of his work has occurred at the interface between science and policy focusing on the development of sound technical information for use in management strategies and policy decisions. Before joining the Consortium, Zach worked on the implementation of water quality and watershed restoration projects at the California Tahoe Conservancy. Prior to this assignment, he was the deputy director for science in the CALFED Bay-Delta program.
Zach holds a Master of Science degree in marine ecology and a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. A native Californian, Zach lives with his wife Tamara in Tahoe City.
Jessie Hersher - Program Coordinator
Jessie Hersher is the Program Coordinator for the TSC. She received a BA of Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has lived in Tahoe for the past six years since graduation. Jessie is proud to be a part of an organization that promotes communication and scientific advancement between entities in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Jessie joined the TSC staff in September 2006.
